Chelsea Harding – Senior Google Ads Specialist @ Megaphone Marketing

In this exclusive we cover:

👉What Chelsea does in a day
👉Entry level roles into Megaphone Marketing

1. Before we dive into your role at Megaphone Marketing, what has your career journey looked like so far?

When I was 12 I started working in my small hometown at a corner shop. I then moved into after school jobs in clothing retail and at an accountancy firm. During university I continued working for Levi’s and after graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce, lots and lots more retail.

I made a move to Australia and not long after I started my journey at Megaphone as an assistant when our team was around 20-25 employees. This allowed me to dabble in the different departments of the company, where I found a passion for all things Google!

2. Transitioning into work, what the heck does a Senior Google Ads Specialist @ Megaphone Marketing do?

What is Megaphone Marketing?

Megaphone is the #1 fastest-growing social media marketing agency in Australia, we’re a company that values getting awesome results for our clients and having fun while doing it.

What does your role entail?

Working as a Senior Google Specialist, my day to day consists of managing client accounts & implementing a strategy best fit for their goals

Liaising with marketing strategists, clients & our Google reps. As well as developing & supporting the Google team & our offering within the company.

4. What do the entry level pathways at Megaphone Marketing look like?

The entry level positions would be our Junior Marketing Strategist, Junior Google Specialist & Junior Digital Strategist roles.

We are always looking for 11/10 staff! There are roles from marketing strategists, to HR, to design & everything in between. I would check out our current openings.

5. What’s one thing you recommend an aspiring marketer do right now?

Try it all! If one thing isn’t for you then try another! Say yes to as many opportunities as you can (especially if it’s outside of your comfort zone) to open yourself up to new skills & challenges.

Be prepared for change – especially in marketing. It’s important to be thinking one step ahead to not stay in a “it’s always been done like this” mindset.

Lastly, be confident in yourself & what you bring to the table!
